Representation of teenagers in the Daily Mail

The above image shows an article relating to teenage girls who have joined the IS.
This picture does not tell a lot about the article yet presents the teens as foolish and easily manipulated.

In the above article the picture shows teenagers at a call desk. This portrays the teens as helpful and hard working and completely juxtaposing to the indolent stereotype. The adults here are presented as irresponsible for letting them take calls from a life and death helpline.

Above is two articles about teenagers. The first on the left shows the vacuous decision from a teen who decided to eat nothing but chicken nuggets since the age of two. Due to this she was rushed to hospital, yet obviously this act can not be blamed on the 17 year old alone as from the age of two blatantly the parents were controlling the decisions.
The second article also relates to the vacuous decision of a parent who allowed her daughter to have sex in her home and is entirely comfortable with it. This story is portraying the mother as delusional in my opinion and the daughter to be sex hungry and quite abnormal due to her asking permission to have sex in the house.

This final picture is from an article regarding two males of different generations having a chat about coming out as homosexual. The article covers the heart felt struggle of the 70 year old elderly man who feared arrest coming out in his youth, and how he regards the younger boy as 'so lucky' to not live in fear. This article is atypical of the teenage stereotype as typically they are rude and inconsiderate to the older generation but clearly here the boy is listeneing and caring about the story and sharing similar stories of coming out to family and friends.
