Analysation of the male gaze

In Beyoncé's music video '1+1' I believe that the male gaze is present as Beyoncé is sexualised and uses her body as a symbol of possession and lust. From a heterosexual male perspective the video is lascivious, with mild nudity and minimal clothing. The carnal lyrics emphasise the sexualisation and is evidentially presented in the context of a males reaction.
The video shows conventions of the male gaze with the fact that the camera lingers on the curves of Beyoncé and how she is the main focus. I believe that the video is rather degrading as she is sexualised for the hypothetical man's benefit with materialistic connotations. Similar to the previous videos analysed, Beyoncé is dehumanised and turned into a sexual object. 
On the other hand it could be argued that Beyoncé enjoys being looked at as she is idolised by a large group of people worldwide and often portrays herself in this way for her own benefit. Typically the audience is teenagers for Beyoncé's music however due to the sexual content I do believe that the male gaze is used.
