Similar to Coldplay's 'The Scientist' the trailer is told primarily in reverse and engrosses viewers with a gut-wrenching, self-contained story of a vacationing family fighting off a zombie horde. What begins with a young, undead girl biting and infecting her parents ends with a father reaching out to save his daughter. Instead of showing gameplay and story elements, production studio Axis Animation focused on tone and emotion. The end result was something less of a trailer and more of a short film. By using this format the audience may feel a degree of pathos as using a child emits maternal instincts therefore creating pity. The storyline also is enacted backwards to show the horror unfold yet tells us the end result first.
The game is rated PEGI 18 which further highlights the impact of primarily showing a child as the girl is shown to be very young yet the high rating conveys that she is out of place or rather should not be in the violent circumstance.
At the end of the video the game uses a handheld camera style to convey a family holiday atmosphere. This contrasts to the prior scenes and shows the happiness of the family before the tragedy thus creating pity.
