Ok Go: Representation in Music Video

In each video Ok Go appears to be representing themselves as creative, expressive, alternative and complicated.
The first video uses a continuous shot of treadmills with a point-of-view shot from the audiences perspective. The band members sing  into the camera and face it mostly all the time. This creates a performance type video as the members are directing the singing at the audience. Throughout the video the members move around the treadmills and perform various jumps, swings and movements which could connote the energised and expressive members and song. In the video the band members are wearing dated suits with an 80s style as they are vibrant colours of pink, brown, red and black. These suits and formality of the attire contrast with the treadmills as typically these would not be associated with each other. This clash may represent their alternative genre.
